Tomorrow is White Spot’s annual Pirate Pak Day. As with most people when they were younger, Pirate Paks were the thing to order when you were at White Spot. I was quite sad the day I turned 11 because that meant I was no longer eligible to order the Pirate Pak! Don’t tell the authorities but I admit that even after I was past the allowable age, I tried my best to continue ordering the Pirate Pak well after I had turned 10. Whether or not I was successful in my attempts though…well, that is another story.

White Spot contacted me to let me know that this Wednesday August 18 is White Spot’s annual Pirate Pak Day. To celebrate this great occasion, White Spot sent me and Jenkins a gift certificate to take advantage of White Spot’s one-day only adult Pirate Paks. For tomorrow only, $2 from every Pirate Pak ordered will be donated to the Zajac Ranch for Children. The Zajac Ranch is dedicated to bringing summer camps to children with serious medical conditions.

Jenkins and I know where we’ll be having our dinner tomorrow. Hope you are able to make it out to White Spot tomorrow to partake in the adult Pirate Paks and to support a great cause!

Your eyes are not deceiving you. Ho Yummy’s got a new look! We hope you like it. It was time to retire Ho Yummy’s old and tired look. We also added a better site search (with google) that’s located at the upper left of the site. Please let us know what you think.

We are also planning to update Ho Yummy’s logo soon. If you have any great logo ideas, please leave us a comment. You never know, with your permission, we might just use it!

Posting will be light to non-existent for the next few weeks as Jenkins and I will be going to Peru! We’re super excited and hope to come back with a whole new batch of food adventures to share with you. Hello readers!  After quite a hiatus, I’m finally back.    Jenkins and I had a great time travelling around in Paris and Northern Italy and we also have several yummy culinary adventures to share with you.  I’m going to get through some leftover posts I still have from before my trip and then I’ll start posting on our travels.

As you probably noticed, my blogging has been quite sporadic for the past few weeks.  I’m going to be going on vacation on Monday to Paris and Northern Italy and can’t be more excited!   All this trip planning and a bunch of other things have just completely eaten up my time lately.  Just because I haven’t been blogging doesn’t mean I stopped going to restaurants though so I have a HUGE backlog of reviews to do when I come back.  I had been meaning to do a bunch before I left so they can be published while I’m away but I guess I was a little too optimistic.

While I’m away, Keith is going to be monitoring my blog for me and who knows, maybe one of my friends will be motivated to do a guest post…(any takers?)

When I am back, look forward to some yummy posts about my travel adventures and of course, the rest of my backlogged Vancouver restaurant reviews.    Thanks for your patience and talk to you in a few weeks!

Jenkins and I are back from our China/Hong Kong trip.  During that time, we ate a bunch of different varieties of Chinese food…some good and some not so great.    I’m just getting settled back in but am looking forward to writing about all the places we went to eat!
