I’m starting a new feature on Ho Yummy called Friday Finds. What is that, you ask? I thought it would be a nice way to end the work week with something that highlights interesting articles, links, and news for Ho Yummy readers. I’d like to also solicit the help of the Ho Yummy community in making this a regular feature so if you come across any interesting tidbits you’d like to share, please send them my way via our contact form.
Our first Friday Find is something Jenkins and I came across a couple of years ago on nytimes.com. Jill Santopietro is a food writer for the New York Times magazine and for a short while, she ran a video series called Kitchen 4b where she cooks out of her tiny New York City kitchen. Her recipes all look fantastic but the only one we’ve tried is her pizza dough recipe based on a version by Sam Sifton. She’s pretty funny in a quirky kind of way so Jenkins and I really like watching her videos. We last used this recipe to make pizza for Valentine’s Day.
My second link of the day is something I stumbled across in Guy Kawasaki’s blog. Apparently, many have reason to believe that the recipe for Coca-Cola’s secret ingredient 7X has been uncovered. I’m not sure what to believe but I had fun checking out the ingredient list, which included cinnamon and orange oil.
I hope you enjoy checking these out as much as I did! If you have anything you’d like to submit to Friday Finds, please let me know! Have a great weekend!
