I actually had the beef roll before and it was a normal looking shell, not over-fried like that. The time I tried it, it was super tasty.

Is this the place by Queen E Park, and next to a Parisian Cafe sort of place? I think I have been there a couple of times. Great food, crowded though.

@Samantha – haha, yeah it’s kind of funny how this small little restaurant turns out to be quite popular with a lot of ppl! I’ll have to try the raw-fried buns the next time I go…thanks for the recommendation!

Oooh, my Shanghainese dad really likes this place. You should try the raw-fried bun – it is another great specialty that they make (not quite as healthy as the yummy steamed buns of course, but they are really juicy).

Note that the Shanghainese owner lady will always remember you when you go again. She knew my sister understood Shanghainese and forced her to order in Shanghainese, haha.

i’ve been there before and really enjoyed it also. they have some of the best soup dumplings there!
